I have a 1997 Grand Am GT...?

My window won't go down on my passenger side. The motor is still working. I think it fell off the rail or what ever its called. Anyone know how to take the door pannel off?

Its a few screws and some push clips they make a door panel remover tool it works a lot better than using a screw driver. There might be a screw under the switches on the door panel and one behind the reflector of your door if the reflector is removable.

The parts you need attach the window to the cable drive in the rails. Unfortunately you cannot buy these parts from the dealer, the only sell the whole unit. $200 +. Try the wreckers.@ car-parts.com.

TRY TO CHECK TH TOGGLE SWITCH FOR THE RH DOOR, OPEN IT TO CHECK THE CONTACT POINTS. SEE IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE ON CONTACT AREA, IF THERE IS ANY. SIMPLY USE SAND PAPER TO POLISH THE CONTACT AREA AND TRY BFORE ASSEMBLE IT. IT IS REPAIRABLE.

i assume you can hear motor running you can order regulator assembly at autozone or most parts store for about $111 plus tax check several places for lowest price buy car repair manual for basics it is very common on these cars for these to go out. the motor can be tricky on some models to get back on right hope this helps
