Question:
I have a 1990 buick lesabre it wont start! I have replaced the cam interputer, cam sensor, crank sensor, ecm, ignition switch(not the key but the real switch that turns over the car), and coils. I got the ignition module checked out and it works. All fuses are fine even the ones behind the glove box. I get fule presure but i get no spark at all. It doesn't spark at the new spark pluges or with a screw driver 2 a grounded point i even put a volt meter 2 the coils while cranking the motor and i get nothing. The motor cranks but wont start up! I even went 2 the great length and checked for voltage form motor wiring harness seperatly (remover from the car) and everthing get voltage. I have 150 compression in each camber. It use 2 shut off after running 4 a while but would start back up in a few minues. The last time i drove it it i started it and drove it 100 feet and it just randomly shut off.
Hard to get shifting leaver in the park position?

Wow sounds like you do have a problem here? Really the only thing I can suggest here and because you said at the end it ran and died and start back up after would be the torque converter solenoid that may be bad here. When the transmission gets hot the TCS stays engage causing the vehicle to stall out when you are coming to a stop. When it cools it unlocks letting the vehicle start again. What you can try doing at this point to see if it is this problem is in front of the transmission unplug the TCS connector and see if it starts up. If it does then the way you repair it is by removing the side transmission pan to get to the solenoid. You should be able to drive with it disconnected but your check engine light will stay on. Now PLEASE keep me posted and let me know if this worked or not?Need to find out why pwr steering pump wont move after loosening bolts on top and bottom.?
Have you changed the 02 sensor? Mine did that and just shut off at 55mph randomly. Drove me nuts and almost got me killed.Locksmith unavailable- keys stuck in car?

Does the cam turn when cranking? Did you set the gap correctly on the cam position sensor? I'd start by checking the electrical signal coming off the cam sensor. If that's ok, check the ignition module again.What is the newest motor I can put in a 99 Darango?
i own a repair shop,and have you checked the fusible links that come off the starter for a burnt one,,they also help supply power to certain things when the key is on,if just one of them is burnt,in too,it may disable the car,,i had one like your working on before ,,they can drive you nuts,,but i have always found the problem,,it just takes time,,good luck hope this help,s.auto eletrical mobil near aberbargoeod south wales?
See if there is moisture under the distributor cap. If so dry it off.Where is the P.C.V on a 1997 Ford Escort?
sounds to me like the timing is off, have you checked your distributor?How do you fix an antenna on a Kia spectra?
My husband and I used to have to fix my mothers 2 1990 Le Sebres...at different times... and we had very similar issues.It could be a few things that you haven't tried.Take out the ENTIRE distributer,not just the cap.Replace the ENTIRE thing,NOT just the cap,because we had that happen to one of them after doing everything you did and after having the same EXACT problems you are having.Take out the ENTIRE distributer and bring it to Auto Zone (cheapest) and have them look at it to insure you get the right one because there are different ones for those cars.That should solve your problem..Another thing could be your starter but it sounds like exactly what we went thru so I would bring the distributer to Auto Zone and replace everything including the cap.Good LuckSeems like the fuel pump is not delivering adequate pressure.. causing vapor-locking and all sorts of other ghosts in the machine.
Check for power at the throttle position sensor(middle wire should read about one volt with key on engine off.)If no power ,unplug and check plug for 5-volts.If you have power the TPS needs to be replaced.If you have no power you could have a bad computer ground.Check fuse links at starter or off of positive battery cable.an open EGR could cause a no start condition.Repair all vacuum leaks even behind the engine.Good luck.
