It could be very expensive on the K series engine in a 414 it may be just a cam shaft seal.But unfortunately they used recycled aluminium in the block and cylinder heads of later K series this over time became porous and oil leaks resulted.Mick UK used to work on them little blighters.which cylinder is the number 6 on a ford 4.6?

Dizzy cap as in Distributor Cap? Cant see that you would lose a great deal of oil from here even if the seal has gone. You may lose some oil from the rocker cover (in this area) but again not in the quantities you imply..... Are the rings ok? If the rings are worn this may account for excessive oil in this area.Recommend getting it checked out.
