In order to charge them all at once with only twelve volt chargers you would need to put three chargers in series with each other to get thirty six volts. I'm not sure if this is really practical. Another very viable possibility is to take two of the batteries out at a time and link the positive terminal on one to the negative terminal on the other, and then put the positive charger terminal on the positive terminal of the battery that has it open, and the negative terminal of the charger on the only remaining empty post. This would make the battery a twelve volt battery (essentially), and the twelve volt charger would work for it. If you ran one positive cable on the charger to all of the positive posts on the three batteries you put the positive charger cable on, and the negative charger cable on all three of the remaining empty posts, you could link all three of them in a big twelve volt parallel circuit and charge them all at the same time. Remember, linking batteries or chargers in series adds voltage, and linking them in parallel keeps the voltage the same. For instance, three six volt batteries, that could output 1 amp of current individually in a given circuit, would produce 18 volts and 3 amps of current. In the same circuit, with the batteries in parallel, the voltage would be 6 volts, and the current would be 1 amp. Boost isn't any good for charging. It actually puts out lower voltage. To use a 12 volt charger you'd have to charge them two at a time. Just disconnect the battery pack ground cable to the cart and put the charger across each pair of batteries in succession. You have to be careful to charge all three pairs equally. It's not the best way to do it, but it'll work.You really should get the 36 volt charger. Any time you don't charge all six batteries at once they'll start getting more and more unequal and your run time will go down.The batteries will go bad quicker too. Eventually the stronger batteries will cause the weaker batteries to be ruined.
Why does my brake light come on ?
NO. short of disconnecting wires each time.I'd test the components of the "bad" charger to determine if it can be fixed. (It worked for me.)
