Question:

Hey
Why won't my car start when it's really cold?
Had my 00 impreza RS for a few years now and its got 82 thousand miles. I am planning to replace exhaust and suspension. But when I took it into the garage they saw that the right head gasket was slightly leaking and the other one was pretty much fine. Just wondered if this is going to be a major issue? I have no power loss and haven't found any water/ oil on the floor. Do RS this age Head gaskets go aound this age? I haven't raced or ragged the car. Anyway the HG job will cost 2 grand apparently, also to make matters worse the clutch is slipping under acceleration so thats done. I was wondering which aftermarket clutch is good, obvious aint got major cash with all these bills but the stock exedy clutch is blantely Sh!t with everyone with an RS suffering clutch judder especially when its cold.

If you accidentally put diesel fuel in you car what will happen?
compression test will show if head gasket is faulty in sealing ring areas if it's just dribbling from outer edge it's not a vital area but it wont improve with age clutch judder is normaly caused by defective assembly or a scored or distorted flywheel these must be ground (not machined) on a special lathe to recover (a centre lathe cannot mount this accurately enough with ref to drive flange)yes and a different mechanic or at least a second oppinion.
