78-79 skidoo 440 tnt ; how do you know if you need a belt change?

Fuel and temp gages won't work?

Symptoms: clutch will not engage properly, will not get top speed.

What are hazzard indication lights?

Also can tell because Belt will not ride to top of the secondary (driven) clutch at idle, you will have pull off the belt guard to see..

MEASURE THE WIDTH OF A NEW BELT AND SEE HOW MUCH IT IS WORN BUT IF THE BELT HAS BEEN ON THIS SLED FOR SEVERAL SEASONS CHANGE IT AND KEEP THE OLD ONE FOR A SPARE
