My steering wheel in my 1995 CLIO squeeks?

I have an N reg CLIO and when I turn the steering wheel as Im driving it squeeks like a rusty old go-kart LOL! Is there anything I can do to stop it?

A few questions to ask,do your wheels rumble if you turn one way but squeak or whine if you steer the other whilst moving....l am sure the answer will be negative....and if so that discounts a wheel bearing.
You could try spray grease, this is slightly better than wd40....but use it with old clothes on as its very liquid at first..also if that does not appeal try a funiture polish which has silicone in it and in the nicest way spray up the crack...between the the moving parts if you have air bags be careful not to whup em.
