Convertible top?

Question:
I just purchased a 2005 vw beetle convertible. How much snow/ice can accumulate on the top before I have to worry about the convertible top failing?

If parked it is safe for the weight of a man to be on the roof..If driving, by LAW you are supposed to clean the roof off before going out onto the roadway to prevent flying ice and snow from hitting the cars behind you...everyone should be aware of this and also to put on their lights in any inclement weather too.
