My son has a HQ Monaro with a 450 Holley. Will idle for a minute at high revs, then dies.?

ok first of all the car has to be completely level. Best to have on hoist. There is a red cap under the brake master cylinder. That is for adding only. The check plug is about 1/2 way down the tranny it is a 15 mm plug. you just loosen the plug and then slowly take it out if fluid comes out when plug is removed then it is good. Just make sure you dont pull the plug right out you will have a terrible time putting it back in. Just loosen it up and slowly pull it out until you see fluid then instantly start threading it back in.
