Anybody knows what gearbox my car has? 1996 Vauxhall Corsa trip 1.2?

I recently bought a corsa trip 1.2i, reg at 1996. Can anybody help me find the exact type of gearbox this model uses? The previous owner changed the original 5 gear with a 4 gear one and I want to undo that. Any help appreciated. Cheers

To be or not to be the alternator?

the gearbox number is stamped on the top near the selector unit.usually number like f12-f13.the 4 speed box was an f10. not an easy job to undo as flywheel and starter may be different as well

Go to a breakers yard and buy one and have it fitted.it is just a vauxhall 5 speed unit
