Question:
I sent my truck to the shop for a blown head gasket. When I got it back it misses and the fuel milage is about 1/2 of what it was. Tech says it came in that way. Before I go to another shop to have it fixed I would like to check the plugs/wires/distributor myself. What is the firing order/plug location/distributor rotation for a 94 F150 5.0L?

My Ford Focus idle rough only when the temperature is below 40 degrees. No codes come up.?
There was a mid year change in firing order in that truck that can confuse mechanics. The Haynes book calls out a firing order of 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 for 5.0L engines 1994 and earlier, but that may NOT be correct. The Haynes book firing order for 1995 and later 5.0L engines is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8, which may be what you need for that engine. See if the number 2 position is going to the number 5 plug. If so, try changing to the second order and see if it smooths out.Very upset neighbors help helpppppp!?
firing order can be found stamped into the intake manifold. On a 5.0, the distributor turns counter clockwise. Plugs are in same spot they always are, in the heads, by the exaust manifoldWhat is the easiest way to remove wrist pins from pistons and connecting rods?
