Cant get key in ignition on 1989 mustang?

Question:
i took my key out of my car and when i try to put it back in, it would not go in. i turn the key ignition into the off position before i took the key out. the key is not bent. i have five sets of keys and try every one of them.what could be the problem

I have a ford Taurus SHO the key sometimes has problems going back in after I pull it out. Turn the ignition without the key in it or try wiggling it as you try to put key in the ignition.

I would have to guess that the outer part of your cylinder is twisted.. Try to twist the outer part, without a key in, and take a flashlight and look down into the cylinder, you will be able to see when it lines up.
