*** WOULD NOT TOUCH PENNZOIL (AKA PENNZ WAX) if i planned on keeping the car for a long period of time.
Can u put a turbo in a car with a super charger? Is it possible?
Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w30I've used Castrol 5W/30 Regular Blend, and for the past 10 years now, I've used Castrol 5W/30 Syntec Blend. I like it the best.
If my Local "Oil-Change" Shop is out of Castrol, then I'll go with my 2nd choice. Valvoline 5W/30 "Blend."
Both Oils, are very good and Do Not Break-Down, in either "Blends."
It depends on your type of vehicle, its age, and shape, for deciding on the type of "Blend" to use. If it is a "New" vehicle then using a "Synthetic" from the beginning is "Ok." If it is "Older" then I'd stay with conventional-oils. You can "convert" from "Conventional-Oil" over to "Synthetic-Oils" slowly. During your next oil-change, use 1Qt. "Synthetic" with the rest of the "Conventional-Oil" From then on, at every reccomended oil-change, increase the "Syn-Blend" by 1Qt. This ensures that you will not "encounter" any problems, mostly "Leaks" when you "Convert."
I guess it is "A Matter of Preference" on the type of oil that you use. Good Luck, with your decision....
Could an ignition coil cause a miss fire in my engine?
royal purple a bit expensive but i race my carHi the heat in my car is not working all that good?
HA, a pennzoil basher that spelled it right.... a new ONE!!my 1979 Ford truck is squirting antifreeze up through a hole in the back head plate how do I repair?
Pennzoil is fine, one of the best oils on the market.... owned by shell now as well, so I don't think they bought it to sell to you, so your engine would die? Makes no sense.... it use to be bad oil, bad when it was Pennsylvanian crude pumped into a CAN.
Pennzoil (5w-30 to 10w-40 and straight 30)
Havoline (5w-30 to 10w-40 and straight 30)
Mobil 1 (5w-30 to 10w-30)
Castrol (5w-30 to 10w-40 and straight 30)
Exxon (5w-30 to 10w-40)
run pennzoil high mile 10w-30 (doesn't get real cold here) in the cars. Over 200,000 each, ones well over 500,000 original engine, no engine work, just uses what it leaks.
New briggs and stratton engines (have around 4 new ones) get mobil 1
Older ones get the rest.
Why does my handbrake light stay on even when the handbrake is down.?
Doesn't matter what brand (long as its name brand) as long as you use the correct weight given by the manufacturer... and change it after what the manufacturer states or a decent amount of time....
Mine gets every 6 months.... Might rack up a hair over 5,000 in that time.
Ones just tripped... back at just over 3,000 original miles after 27 years!
how much is it to have a fiesta glitter sprayed?
I use AMSOIL 10w40. If I had to add oil on a trip, per say, and couldn't find AMSOIL I would add MOBIL 1. Both are PAO based oils. I change it every 10,000 miles or so. AMSOIL says it will last 15,000 miles or 1 year. I like 10,000 a nice round #, easy to remember. I also use an AMSOIL filter.More Questions & Answers ...
