Question:
I drove my Accord home one evening and it was running fine. Got up the next morning to go to work and it would turn over, but not start. Battery is fine. Have replaced distributor cap and rotor, but there is no fire coming from the distributor. What could be the problem?
Answers:
Why new break drums can make noise?
bad coil ?Ignition coil possible, control module in the distributor. How did you determine there was no spark?
oil changes and tire question?
well it sounds like you have a bad coil in the distributor they are known for itI think I have burnt my car's brakes?
The wire may have came off the crank sensor or the sensor went bad. If the crank sensor is bad the engine will not fire. There could be moisture on the coil wire. I would check that first. Spray the ignition wires with WD-40. That will displace moisture in the wires. If it happened on a real foggy morning, I would suspect grounded spark plug wires. Head for the WD-40.i need mechcanical help on a 1989 ford van?
