Broken Winshield?

Question:
Windshield is broken and in need of replacement. Do you have to have a certain type of insurance for it to be covered (florida)? I've asked several people and have gotten mixed answers - 1 person it was covered and another it wasn't.

Would a BMW 325i engine from an e36 model fit in my 325i e30 model?

You need comprehensive insurance to get this replaced by insurance. Another thing; price is not the deciding factor in replacing glass. If it's cheap it means that you'll be replacing the roof in a few years due to rust. As if they do a close cut or full strip. If they answer close cut, walk away. This means that they only remove the least little bit of the old caulk to bond your new windshield on. It causes rust to form where the class sits. This is expensive to get fixed. Another is the use of improper adhesives and primers to hold the glass in place. It means that the glass will pop out if the airbags go off or you roll over. Both mean serious injuries for you and the passengers.

Glass is covered under the "comprehensive" portion of your insurance. As far as the best place to get it repaired I personally use the Franchise glass dealers because the work is guaranteed all accorss the country in most cases.

Could part of my fuse block be fried?

If you have insurance call them as it should be covered and it will cost you $100. deductible and they will have it replaced in your driveway and if you have a glassmasters in your state it will be free as they accept whatever the insurance pays them. This won't raise your insurance rates.
