the car idles real bad at red lights and stop signs. when you cross the tracks, and you come to a stop sign or red light and the traffic's clear (or light is green), the car kills on me. what is causing this to happen? is it a sensor that's going out, or is it a hose that's busted? please help!

Has the Service Engine Soon light come on? That is a sign that there is a repair needed. Also, could be that you need to clean out the throttle body, and the IAC, or even the Mass air meter. Hope these help. Good luck. What should I do first when my engine is overheating?
If any of your problems are detected by a sensor the check engine lite will come on. If it not on look for a problem in the idle air control system, a vacuum leak, a dirty throttle body, incorrect ignition timing (retarded), or an evap. system valve stuck open causing the engine to flood with fuel vapor.More Questions & Answers ...
