BMW325e have electronic speedometer?

what do you mean you changed the pickup?? like... the sensor?? if you used an older one, it might be putting out an analog signal and the speedometer reads digital or visa-versa. there are diagrams and kits for fixing this (ebay ~ $50, home made ~ $1). you would probably want to make it your self for only a few cents worth of parts.

on exhaust gaskets, does the shiny metalic side go towards the block or towards the manifolds?

check the fuses.
check the wiring, maybe you have a bad ground or one frayed
