Question:
I have a 1992 Lincoln Town Car (very good mechanical condition a few weeks ago), and I just had my oil and everything changed, as well as a fluids check. Not a real tune up, but since I changed gas, I've been noticing a jerking, sometimes violate shaking in my car. When I first crank up the car it's fine no problems, no odd movements, however when I start to drive it (mainly when I accelerate) I feel a jerking sensation from the motor. Even when I'm decelerating I experience a similar jerking sensation. It's been doing this for 3 days now, and the freaking mechanics are always busy. Anybody know what's going on? The guy who owned the car before me used regular gasoline, then I switched to Plus, I don't know if this is the problem or not but it started around the switch. No problems prior to it!

Oh man is this familiar. I have that year in a Crown Victoria model, and I have this problem constantly. Your engine is "missing" : In other words, the fuel is not igniting in the combustion chamber and the engine seems to...well....miss. As if you repeatedly let off and on the accelerator pedal. Its hard to say exactly what this is. First things to check is the spark plugs (and wires, harness, distributor cap, etc.) then check the injectors. Mine has been doing this for about 6 years now, and I've never been able to narrow it down directly, as it will cost me a good amount to perform. But Mine still runs, and its not too critical. And hopefully that goes with your model as well, as they both have the same engine,,etc. Hope I could help!how wide is a 295/50r15 tire and how wide is a 265/50r15?

sounds like a dirty fuel filter or a bad spark plug or wireMy car doesn't stay on after I drive it for a long period of time.?
There are so many things that can cause this problem,it could be plugs, bad plug wires, carberation or fuel injectors dirty fuel filter, take your pick.I would take it in and have it put on a analyzer,or take it to a parts store that lets you borrow their handheld scanner to see what code it brings up.Good luck .Odd Sound Coming From Inside Tire Wheel of 05 Honda Accord?
Well the first thing I would do is a tuneup. Bad plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, will cause a miss and make your car jerk. Another thing you could change thats cheap is your fuel filter, to help eliminate fuel problems. You can also check for a broken motor mount, bad wheel bearing, etc. It could be a number of things, but you always want to start with the cheapest, and work your way up.
