When above 40 my 1999 lincoln continental message center stays on drivers door ajar?

Here it is in a nutshell my 1999 lincoln is fine and dandy when below 40 degrees take a degree or so,but as soon as it gets above that,i get message drivers door is ajar,along with that dome lights stay on at stop sign,and my digital message center will not go off of door ajar,until temp is below abot 40 degrees,even though i have a lincoln i am not rich,anyone have any idea what might be causing this,i really need to get it fixed getting ready to go iinto summer,and dont want to deal with this all summer...yes I know a dealer can fix,,hummm i wonder for how much...oh yes door is not ajar

probabl a bad door lock that is where the signal comes from. and yes the lock most of the time will mechanically operate but that dont mean it is electrically ok
