I had a similar problem with my Citreon Picasso.Try unhooking your battery for a little while the reconnect it.If does'nt work then i'm afraid its got to go to bmw to be sorted.Probably your sensor has noticed a bang that is near its threshold ,this was in my case someone slamming a door very hard.GOOD LUCK.
