Question:
It doesn't happen every time, but the brakes "slip" a little when this happens what is this? It's a 1998 Explorer with NEW Brakes 10 months old) and approx. 85,000 miles on it. The noise is in no way grinding, it is a high pitched whine/whistle.
Answers:
What could be the cause of this windshield washer problem?
When mechanics fix your brakes, they are likely just replacing pads. And there is the front and rear brakes to be fixed as well. I have a Ford F-150 and had a similar problem. The rotors and brake lines needed to be changed as well after my second trip to my mechanic. I thought he was trying to play me until I looked at the parts myself when the truck was up on the hoist. The bottom line is this, the brake system has many moving parts and they usually just fix the most common parts of wear. Get your mechanic to diagnose the problem and then fix it yourself. If your handy.
sound like wear sensor..get them checked where the brake job was done. is the ABS light on?
