If the hole is in the block itself you're screwed-- you need a new or at least different engine.
sorry but thats the truth.
if it's not the block go buy a haynes or chiltons manual and research what is busted

Skid loader starter?

EGR is Exhaust Gas Recycling. A faulty valve will only make the truck run slightly rough and fail the emissions test. That is all.

I've got a 96 Pontiac sunfire with 72000 miles but its got a wire harness problem its paid for should I fix

I would say that the hole in your motor is a BAD thing. maybe even the reason it doesn't start.

tune up on your car if it's old?

rephrase your ? so we know what your talking about

town car spit out fire?

im not real formilliar with the 2.5L but all I can think of is that a frost plug fell out or something. you'd know if it did, anti-freeze would pour out of it.

was told i need a transmission controller for 2002 neon price $565 for part, does this sound right?

The hole in the engine is the reason for it not starting and ur other problem cant help ya with srry .. but this is most typical for s-10 i had the same problem with my own..good luck
