Question:
Can you drive exclusively on battery power with the alternator removed from vehicle. I drive it now by recharging the battery every night and driving for short durations with the alternator connected. (the alt. doesn't work trust me ) Will disconnecting the wires leading from the alt to the car render the car inoperatable. Want to turn in alt with core charge and still drive for two or three days.lol. Thanks. Car is a 92 Mitsubishi Expo LRV.

What should I use to glue the rubber seal around my car door?
yes but not for long, as the battery will die, headlights will dim, gauges stop working, etc. dont know if the engine will actually stop running but i would say it is highly likely cause when the battery is dead, theres no spark to the plugs. You can drive your vehicle on battery power until your battery reaches a certain voltage. depending on the vehicle around 9 volts then your vehicle will shut down. Running down your battery and recharging it all the time is very hard on it. It will evetually wont take a charge anymore.

You wreck the battery, and everything else due to the voltage drop. Everything is a car is designed as a system and driving with this compromised is going to mean everthing gets trashed. Replace the alternator, you can get it from a junkyard and they hold up pretty well. www.car-part.com should be able to hook you up for a lot less money. Can someone describe the differences between painting cars with enamel vs. laquer or urethane?
if it works, that would be alright. Don't do it too long...It'll screw your battery up..You need to get it replaced, cause if you have to recharge it every night, then it probably drained your battery. In that case you'll need a battery and an alternatorIn response to my last question?
