What, older 1/2 ton pickups, ( 90-98 ) have the best gas mileage ?

Question:
needs to be what engine is most relieable, yet still have enough towing capacity to pull a small, ( 17') travel trailer .

Answers:

How to make my truck start? help?

I would go with a chevy with the 5.7 liter 350 engine. Getting away from 4x4 will get you a little better gas mileage off the bat. The 350 motor is pretty bullit proof. Just a matter of how much mileage you are trying to get. Just find something with low miles and it should run forever if you take care of it.

My Speedometer is Malfunctioning?

Most of your 1/2 ton trucks will net you between 15-21 mph depending on your driving, condition of the engine, and what you are doing with it. I would look at the 4.6,5.4l fords, a chevy with a 5.3l or a full size toyota p/u in those years
