Question:
last nite i was driving on the interstate. cruising at around 60-65 mph. i had my lights on so all the instrument panel lights were on and i noticed that my RPM gauge all of a sudden dropped about 1000 RPM. then it jumped back up to where it was originally. so it went from about 2500 RPM and dropped to about1500 RPM's. the car was still running normally when it did this. but, i had parked in a parking deck for about 3 hrs and when i came back out and started to leave, i was driving out of the parking deck and noticed that the check engine light was on and the RPM's were around 800 RPM. usually when the car is warmed up it idles at about 1000-1200. but when i got back out onto the interstate it ran fine. the RPM gauge didnt jump and when i got to my drive way i just sat there with the engine idleing and it sat right at about 1000 RPM. does anyone know what this could be?? if so, how do i fix this?? the motor is a 4 cyl with 98,600 miles. thanks so much

How much will it cost for a clutch change on a 94 2.2 vtec prelude?
it sounds like to me that you might have a spark plug issue.does it hesitate...or vibrate?.if its still on take it to autozone and they will check it for free and tell you what the code means.good lucki own a repair shop and you need to take it to any auto zone and have them scan it to see what the code was set when the check engine light came on the computer recorded it so it will make repairing it easy ,what ever set the light off on it will probably be whats wrong with it,good luck i hope this helps.
What is the BEST engine oil, Auto. Transmission fluid & Antifreeze & why ?
You can take it to a shop and pay them to diagnose the problem... Or you could get a bunch of reccommendations from people who don't know, that are based on things that happened to thier cars, or somone they knows car. But that won't solve the problem. You will only end up spending money on parts you don't need, and in the long run, make it more difficult for the pro to diagnose, because they will have to weed thruogh all the things you did to it. Sorry but it's true.Should one loose spark plug be replaced/could it cause misfire?
There are NO techs at auto zone. They will read your codes, that is all. They don't know how to interpret them, and they will not do the tests involved to confirm the problem. Come on Dodge man, you know that!
