Why does my car struggle to move forward when it's in first gear?

Question:
Later on it's fine, but for the first five minutes is annoying. The weather has gotten very cold recently and I suspect that something is freezing. But it didn't used to do this in past winters...

Answers:

I need to find some replacement door panels.?

Without knowing what kind of car you have, it's hard to stereotype the problem with manufacturer weaknesses. I would have to say if you don't have a Chrysler or Ford....(which have chronic tranny probs) I would say that the cold weather is making the tranny fluid thicker and not flowing as well.......add a pint of TransX to clean the tranny and make the fluid thinner. See what happens.
