i have a chevy v6 4.3lt i pretty sure its my compressor that is bad it makes noise when i turn my ac on and i checked with a guage its got the proper amount of freon my question is is there a rebuilt kit i can put on and what else do i need to change because iam guessing once i un hook the lines that air will get into my lines and cause me problems later on down the road.need some advise thanks.

You need to take it to a shop to have the refrigerant(R-134A) recovered. Install a rebuiltZ(factory) compressor, a new accumulator/dehydrator(single unit) and a new variable oriface. The system must be flushed with cleaner prior to installing any components too or you get NO WARRANTY!

Might be compressor clutch check that first. If you need to change compressor,s it's a good idea to replace the drier also. When you put the new parts on pull a vacumm on the line then put in the freon.More Questions & Answers ...
