I have lost the key to my car.How can i wind it up?
On that model vehicle the fuse for the radio and dome light and possibly the horn are all on the same fuse. You do not need to pull out the stereo.Just put a new fuse in the fuse panel but be sure to use the correct amp fuse.Whatever you pull out, make sure you put the same back in.Yup-blown fuse, alright. Look for the fusebox and change whatever is blown with the same amperage. Usually the fuse box is near your foot pedals.
In some cars, the dome light and the radio are on the same fuse bank.
Can a strut on your car Actually Break?
If you have an aftermarket stereo, you might have a loose wire or bare wire that grounded out and blew the fuse.
Is this mechanic bsing me about my timing belt?
I would first check the fuse, if it is blown then replace it.
If it immediately or shortly after installation blows the fuse then you know that you have a short or a bare wire somewhere.
Planning on buying an edelbrock carb with electric choke. What "hot-key" source can i connect it to?
Pull the stereo out and check for loose or bare wires, you can also check all the wires that come from the door switch that turns on and off the dome light.
Either way it is a simple repair, and if you don't feel comfortable doing it your self it would be inexpensive to have repaired if you took it to a garage.
