UPS more for indoor use rather than vehicle.for now, I believe no cars in this world has UPS..though it means a backup battery. What could possibly be wrong with my mothers car??
What no Spam?A UPS can be used in a car, if it is plugged into an adquate power source. Perhaps you could get a roof-mounted solar panel to power the UPS, which would protect the electric items in the car in case it got dark.
Front brake caliper binding (not ABS)?
There isn't enough juice in a UPS to power the electrical components much longer than a few minutes, and the beeping would be quite distracting, so I think this is a bad idea.

this question makes no sense but ill try to answer it for you. first of all UPS is a big mail package delivery service. and a car battery is a car battery that goes under the hood of a car that is used to crank the car and to power the lights and other things in the car. I don't see how you can put a UPS truck in a car. sorry if this does not answer the question. maybe you should think about the question and ask it differently.1987 Dodge Dakota Oil Change Question?
Car battery needs a power to run engine starting motor and its energy is usually from 40AH to 100AH.AH=Ampere Hour ( a unit to measure battery energy)
I think some of the UPS systems use a batteries similar to a deep-cycle battery only smaller, if you want to power AC equipment in your car then perhaps you should get a power inverter,.
if you are going to try to power the equipment inside the car you will need a 12 volt power source. The larger auxillary batteries for commercial UPS systems, I believe, are nothing more than deep-cycle batteries certified to meet building and fire codes for indoor installation.

i think the biggest difference is that a ups is designed to put out a/c power and a car battery puts out d/c... but as far as storage its all the same principles. also the type of battery is different- car batteries are lead-acid and ups systems are usually ni-mh or ni-cd or sometimes lithium ion- so they dont put out the amperage needed to turn the starter. if youre talking about interior power accessories then yes you could use a ups no problem after hooking up an inverter to recharge itMore Questions & Answers ...
