Question:
I have a Dodge Stratus, year 1995. Something's wrong with it--might be electronics, or whatever--I just want to get rid of the thing. What would be my best option? Fix the car, and then try to sell it? Or are there other alternatives? I've spent quite a sum of money on it in the past to fix the transmission, so I'm kind of fed up and don't really want to spend any more money, but also I don't want to just "give away" the car in its current, useless state. If you have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

Saalvage Yard maybe you could get $100-200 dollars.question about BMW oil oil change?
You aren't going to get much for it. It is a hassle for anyone wanting to buy it to move it. You should probably just donate it or call a junkyard. You might want to pull the trany first and try to sell that on E-Bay or just try to sell the whole thing on E-bay. Don't expect much, though. How do I clean up diesel fuel?
You can sell it for scrap to a junkyard and if you have a clear title you might get a fraction of the vehicles original price. Or sell it on craigslist.com you should get more money that way. What's the best way to insert the trans. dipstick tube after installing the trans.?
Do you have clear title for the vehicle? Advertise it as a non working parts car and see if you can sell it that way. Tell them they will have to tow it out of your way after purchase. If you don't get a buyer in a reasonable time, call your local tow company and see if they will tow it if you give them the title. What to do about my 2000 Plymouth neon?
Don't just push it out in the street and let the city tow it. Someone is sure to suggest that. They will trace it back to you and bill you for the towing and storage if you do that. You can take off the plates, but the VIN is hidden in several places.

if you have a place to keep it and it is not in your way.
you can sell parts off from it, and then when it is down to the hull
call a junk yard to come and get it. they will probaly pay $20 or $30 for the hull. i bought a old car that wouldn't run for $50 one time and made over $1200 in selling parts. it adds up fast, when
you start taking parts off, you dont realize how much there is to sell. motor parts, tires & rims, doors,fenders,bumpers,hood,win... then interior parts, seats, dash and just on and on. good luck
How can I get my Honda CRV to start in the cold?
Check with your local high schools and see if they have an Auto Mechanics class where the students learn to fix cars. The teacher is a certified mechanic, therefore all completed work is inspected and okay'd by him/her. In many cases, the shop only charges for parts, but nothing for labor. You'd have to double check with them to be sure though. Why is my new car veering to the right?
The only drawback is that due to limited class time, it may take a few days or weeks to get repaired but worth the cost.
Back when I was in school (class of '83), we'd do front end alignments for $5, turn the rotors no charge, and replace the pads at cost. We'd also inspect the air conditioning system and recharge for the cost of the freon (about $4 at the time for two cans).
BTW, we never had a car return for same service (got it right each time), and had a long waiting list for repairs. As students, we learned alot about cars and great customer service.
