I have a 92 ford ranger pickup w/2.3L engine. Problem is it wont start using the starter motor anymore, but...

i would check the two way switch that activates the direction the motor runs. it may be making connection in the down position but not in the up. then i would check to see if a guide has come loose and has the window in a bind.

If it will let it go down but not up it's probably not the motor. It could be the regulator or switch.

Year,make and model?? Could be the regulator, run channel, motor, switch, no power, no ground. Pull the door panel off and see if the motor is getting power. If not, find out why. If so, does the motor try to operate? if you pull up on the glass with the switch in the up position does it try to go up? If so, you have a shorted motor. Good luck.
