to make it shine. Well usually paintjob that have pearls in it and that make it shine or sparkle. Pearl is like a metal speck in the paint. alot for cars that come off the factory have a base color with a slight pearl.The paint will shine already, when they apply the clear coat / gloss after the painter lays down the base color. To have a good shine, it all lays in how good the painter preped the car and also how good of a painter he is. Just go to a car paint shop or a body shop and they can give you an idea.

Metallic Paint in a very dark colour (including black) tends to give the most spectacular 'shine' when it is properly waxed. Dark colours also tend to look best on larger cars. Avoid car washes as there is a tendency for them to leave tiny scratches which will eventually make the paint 'dull'. Always polish by hand in circular movements with an even pressure. I had my Nissan Skyline repainted in a very dark purple (almost black). It is metallic pearl paint and when polished looks just incredible. I wish you could see it!Good luck!
