Car shuttin off?

Question:
i was out driving my car and when i came to a red light i put my foot on the brake and out of nowhere the car just shut off.
i dont think its the battery cuz the radio was still playin when the engine shut off also the engine service light didnt come on either so its really hard to tell why it turned off on me
(this was like the 5th time it happened to me and most of the time it does it when i have like 25% of gas in my the tank)

I had a 2003 Alero that was doing the same thing. I eventually sold it because I started having more troubles with it like windows not working. It would be helpful if you put in here what type of car it is. Get in your car and turn on a dome lite, then press on the gas, see if you lights dim and how bad on a scale of 1-5 there is a small chance it could be your distributor. BUT my suggestion would be to take it to a garage and have them check out the electrical components to it. Be sure you tell them in detail what is wrong, If you don't tell them the whole problem you won't the it fixed. Good Luck!

Tires unbalanced?

I would take it in for a mechanic to check as well. Perhaps it is your fuel pump as they sometimes have a harder time pumping the gas when you are low in the tank, it takes more work. Do you ever have a hard time going up hills?

It's always best to keep at least half a tank, obviously so you don't run out, but because it means less wear on your fuel pump.
