I have a question regarding a 2003 mercury sable that i am problems with the doors on....?

Question:
whenever i get in my car the dome light does not come on and when i am inside the car it says door ajar but all of the doors are fully sealed. does anyone have any idea of what is going on and if it so is it easy to fix? any help greatly appreciated.

Weird alignment issue, can you diagnose?

One of your door ajar switches is grounding out. The switches are located inside the latch assembly on the door. Spray LIBERAL amounts of penetrating fluid, or WD-40 into every latch, and repeat several cycles of open/close until the problem is fixed.

contacts on the doorframes could be dirty. they run your lights, windows, locks speakers etc. ford's known problem. techs just clean up the contact areas with solvents
