follow the heater (water) hose from the block. At some point it has something on it to control the flow of water. Many are under the hood, some are under the dash, some are in the heater unit under the glove box. (I like to get a manual on cars I own to simplify these problems a little.) You can maybe look at a manual in the library if you need to. Sorry I'm no more help.
