Question:
I drive an old Audi 200 sedan that I fuel with an e10 gasoline mix. What does it really do for the environment ?
Answers:
Getting irritated, would like some advice?
The ethanol raises the octane rating, and reduces hydrocarbon emissions. The end product of burned ethanol is water. You also get about 1 mpg less on 10% ethanol 90% gasoline. the alcohol helps clean the valves and combustion chamber , which helps to eliminate ping.and the ethanol is an oxygenate.(Has its own oxygen)Fuel gauge not working right on peugeot help is it easy to fix?
It does emmit lower emmisions, for one. Our race team is testing a fuel injected race engine for asphalt late models. We are sponsored by E-85 ethanol, and the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association. On the dyno we saw a 10 horsepower gain, plus lower emmisions from E-85 ethanol over pump racing fuel. E-85 is real close to E10.Ase certified 22 years.
I was in a wreck... How much would this cost?
according to the EPA , the jurry is still out on that. from a mechanic standpoint i advise that you stop mixing the E85 with your gas immediately as you are messing with a very dangerous combination and not to mention your audi was not designed to run that fuel you risk damage and i mean big damage to your car and everyone in the vacinity of it. think before you do things like that! if your car was meant to run E85 it would say so. the environment does not need your exploding burning car furthering it down the toilet. have a great day.More Questions & Answers ...
