Question:
is it strongly recommended i use factory brakes for my MDX? a lot of times those factory parts are made by another company anyways.
Answers:
I really need to know why do I need to keep jump starting my car?
I would go off of how long your factory pads lasted. If they lasted 60k+, then they're probably pretty decent and worth using again. If not, just grab something with a lifetime warranty from the parts house if they sell them.Anyone know how much steel brake line I would need for a 91 buick centry?
All the manufacturers tell you that because they want your MONEY! Use what ever floats your boat! Can u close an electric window manually?
I personally have never used "factory" brakes. Most if not all replacement pads you can buy from your local autozone/checkers/auto store will meet or exceed OEM specs (and have a lifetime warranty) not to mention the cost will be significantly less. As long as the replacements are OEM, you will be fine. Are parts cheap for a mitsubishi outlander 07?
Recommended by Acura? Probably. It makes them more money.Recommended by me? No. Buy a pair of pads at Advance Auto, Autozone, NAPA, etc., and you'll be just fine. They have pads that will exceed OEM specs, and its likely you can find something with a lifetime warranty. (That means never buy brake pads for that car again.)
You'll save money right now because factory is more expensive, and more later, too by not needing to buy new pads ever again. (Because they'll replace them free.)
all car manufactors will tell you that, just go to the parts store and buy their best brakes they sell and they will be better than what the factory put on.
