139thou.miles have not repaced wires yet .will it be ok.man said antifreeze should dry out...woman in need
Answers:
No spark on my 87 Ford F-150, 5L engine.?
I would suggest that you have your car checked by a more reputable mechanic, the misfiring could be caused by a faulty plug or plug wire, now what gets my attention is the fact you say you have antifreeze in a spark plug hole. Instead of the mechanic saying it will dry out, how it is getting in there needs to be found. antifreeze getting into a cylinder immediately tells me that the intake manifold is leaking coolant in the cylinder or there is the beginnings of a blown head gasket.1997 Grand Am GT (3.1 Engine). Intermittant throttle surging problem at idle speed.?
You have a blown head gasket, cracked head, or a cracked cylinder wall.Whatever the case you have a serious problem!!
Get it to a mechanic that you can trust ASAP, it's only going to get worse!!
sounds like the gasket did not seal around one of the water ports on the intake. most likely may have to pull back off and check. .
pull wire off blow out with airhose..blow out end of wire put dialectric grease in boot away you go.
