Is it normal for a coolant resevoir to be hot?

GM TBI engines were the same from 88 to 94 so it should work, I wold question the workmanship of who put it in for you, it sounds like timing, or the EGR solinoid. It is OBD 1, I would run the code from the engine light that will tell you exactly what is wrong with it.

1995 Tahoe automatic transmission problems?

The sensors on the 1994 engine are probably OBD2 and the truck is OBD 1. This means that you need to take the truck in to get this issue fixed properly. It's always a good idea to replace the engine with one of the same year, or at least make sure that everything is compatible before you do. A competent mechanic is the person that you need to take it to, and you may end up replacing the computer and wiring with a 1994 or newer. This is expensive.

Can a remote from a two way pager open a car door that doesn’t have power locks?

To the best of my knowledge, a 1991 and 1994 are both OBD1, they didnt go OBD2 till 95, i also dont think that the computers are interchangeable, if the other engine is an HD it might be programmed differently, or something of that nature.

What's wrong with my jeep xj?

If you changed over all your existing sensors and components to the new/used replacement engine I don't see why it wouldn't work.Keep in mind I am NOT an ASE certified mechanic, just the shade tree type. But all the GM small block v-8 engines were almost identical except for minor things like stroke, displacement, etc. If the engine swap was due to mechanical failure there may have been damage to several sensors that came from the original engine. If the wiring harness was modified to force it to work with the sensors from the 94 engine I expect you will have some problems.Have you gotten any error codes from check engine light?Does the truck begin to run rough once it warms up or is it over heating which in itself will cause one to run rough?Sorry I can't be more helpful,I hope you can find the source of the problem.Don't give up on it ,these are some really good, tough trucks.I have a 95 GMC 1500 with 402,000 on the original 350.
