Why is my 99 A4 Audi Quatro turning into a money pit? It is sucking me dry, and I owe $6000 on it still?

Question:
I bought the car in June of 06. Over the last few months, I have dumped over 2 g's in this thing, and there are still mass problems with it. Now as of this afternoon, the car is overheating, the suspention is toast, one of the fuel sensors are bad, a relay needs to be replaced, cruise and brights dont work, and I owe $6000 on this car still. It is a beautiful car, I love it to death, but I am at the point where I am going to buy another Ford Explorer, and sink the Audi in the Mississippi in front of my house.HELP ME! ANY ADVICE? Will the car eventually stop having things go wrong with it or is it just a huge money pit that I am going to shoot myself in the head over in another year?

It always hurts me to see folks like yourself who are in this position. An excellent answer to this dilemna is above mine (Walter G). I couldn't say it better. BMW, Audi and VW (even some Mercedes models) have a perceived reputation for reliabilty that just isn't true. Initially these cars run beautifully but at a certain point they just start falling apart. And the cost of repairs will eat you alive. The big three Japanese auto makers have a stellar reputation for reliabilty and long life. Even domestic autos (Chrysler, Ford, and GM) have come a LONG way towards quality and reliabilty over the past 20 years.

My Ford Escape sounds like the engine is revving. All RPM's are fine. Nothing else amiss. What is it?

total money pit. historically, audis start falling apart once they hit 60k miles. you'd be ripping someone off in the secondary market if you didn't disclose all the problems with it. I would recommend trading it in and getting a new car.

Where is the alarm module in a ford Excursion 2000 ?

i own a repair shop ,and sorry to say a lot of these cars fall apart like this, yours isn't the only one that's doing this,i have a few customers who feel like you do right now, what i been doing is taking them in and repairing everything on them at one time, this is a lot cheaper than doing one thing at a time with it,if you can find you a small shop that is good on repair work you can get all of this fixed a lot cheaper, either way it kind of sounds like your stuck with this one for a while anyway, but you can make a good car out of it,the previous owner didn't keep the regular maintenance up on it,and now your having to pay for it,again like i said your not the only one this like any other expensive car there a nice car when there new,but people just think they can drive them forever and not have to make any repairs to them at all, that's whats wrong with yours, when it started giving trouble the owner got rid of it,and you bought it,see if you can find a good small shop to take care of all of this,it may turn out out be a good car after all this is repaired, only time will tell, good luck i hope this helps.

Could radiator cleaner flush also clean away the head gasket sealant I put in a couple weeks ago?

People buy Audi's and BMW's because they think that they're going to be a reliable machine. The truth is that these are great cars; but they're very high-maintenance. Your 99 is eight years old and it's going to be a money pit from here on out. If you're going to buy an older car stick with a Japanese import or domestic. I've owned several European imports and the reliability isn't there.
As a side note, an Explorer isn't the best bet unless you can get the cruise control switch fixed. These trucks have had a lot of bad press with fires lately. Hope this helps. Don't shoot yourself in the head either.

Anyone have any problems with their f350, 1997?

you should get the car fixed then while its alright sell it as fast as you can and just pay off your loan cause that is a pretty expensive car to fix and keeping it while it is gonna have to be fixed makes u no more richer. and try finding some cheap aftermarket parts they might make the car's value go up
