Just because your water pump doesn't leak doesn't mean it is ok. A few things to check:Does the mass air flow get oil contaminates after re oiling the K&N filter?
With the engine hot, turn the heat on. If you are not getting heat, then your water pump is most likely bad, and is not circulating the coolant.
What oil & air filter is needed for a 1987 3500 chevy silverado?
Check to make sure your fan comes on. If it doesn't, this could point to a faulty temp sensor, fan relay, or worn out fan motor.
How do you change the oil in a 95 SATURN SL-1?
Have your cooling system pressure checked. This will tell you whether or not your block is cracked.
make sure none of your cooling hoses are collapsing, as this will cut off the flow of coolant. if any hoses feel softer than normal, replace it.

Coolant leakage and/or oil leakage.Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry or Corolla, or Honda Civic?
Although your block could most certainly be cracked, this is probably not the case. It is probably just a blown head gasket, which isn't too uncommon in cars that are '90's+ that have been run too hard or hot.

According to the Haynes manual, this should have been determined before you changed the thermostat, but I always change that first.

Tow it to the shop and have the head gasket replaced. It may be a bit expensive, but certainly less expensive than a new engine.

More likely a blown head gasket. Either way you need for it to be repaired.I don't know what country you're from, but if you can get hold of some 'Chemiweld', an Australian product, this can stop the problem. Just follow the instructions. It can fix a head, gasket or block. Often lasts for years and you can redo it also. A friend had a Toyota turbo diesel van, which I recommended Chemiweld after the quotes for repair got over the worth of the vehicle. Been fine now for nearly a year. Works at a lot higher pressures than your V6.
More than likely a head gasket problem if you have checked everything else out. It could be a cracked block too but probably unlikely! Are you sure it's not a freeze out pulg?
What do you do if your car keeps smoking and water dissapears from the car.?
Its much more likely you have a failed head gasket, unfortunately the symptoms of a cracked block, cracked heads and a blown head gasket are all virtually the same. It is very unlikely that your cylinder sleeves cracked unless you hydrolocked the motor, you can buy a UV Dye kit at an autoparts store and dump it in the radiator. It comes with a little flashlight and glasses that you can see leaks with by shining it around. I'd really have to suspect you have a bad head gasket though, its much more common than a damaged block. Short of freezing the motor with straight water instead of antifreeze or physical damage its almost unheard of now for a block to crack.1995 Mazda B2300 timing belt replacement?
oliverha Hi Check your oil for water spots on the oil dip stick or yellow foam .. This is a sure sign of internal leakage .( water & oil mixing ) Also on your engine are frost plugs . They may be called other names in your part of the country . What they are: are small inserts about the size of a quater or half dollar that will pop out if your water freezes . . Instead of your block cracking .. They are commonly found on different locations on the BLOCK only .. Sometime they leak or rust out they are thinner metal .. They are simple to pop out & replace and are inexpensive ... Good Luck ...More Questions & Answers ...
