I have a 1990 Dodge Ram. A few days ago it began to stall for the first time. It stalled just about every time I put it in reverse. Today, it started for a minute or so, then completely went out. I can only start it if I turn the key and pump the gas, and even then it will die after idling for about 10 seconds. What is wrong with my truck?

i own a repair shop and i think it may either have a bad fuel pump relay on it or a pump gone bad,it can also be a bad fuel filter causing this too happen,i had a 91 in the shop that would do this once in a while,and it was the pump going out on it,bad part is its in the tank but that may be whats happening to yours also,if it were me though on yours id try the fuel filter first its a lot easier to get too and replace and a lot cheaper also,and it might take care of it,its worth a try though,good luck with it hope this helps.How do I remove the drivers side window handle on a 1994 Geo Metro.?
Check the fuel pressure. Possible clogged fuel filter, maybe bad fuel pump. Pumping the "gas" pedal is not doing anything to squirt more gas. (fuel injected engine). possible mass air flow sensor (MAF)it could be the fuel pump, or clogged fuel filter or even clogged fuel injectors. when the last time you had those replaced and have you ever had the fuel injectors cleaned?
is it a steady idle?
