the rear wiper is for wiping the rear window...I own a wagon...never gotten a ticket in a wagon and I had a rejection sticker for 5 months and drove past cops all the time...its OK now..but I use my rear wiper all the time in the rain and snow..you mostly get hit from the rear..and being able to see behind you is very important. the rear window on wagons are some what flat..and need a wiper on a regular car the wind flow over the back window..I currently own an 06 Dodge Ram 1500 and would like to increase my payload capacity.?
The only and best way to answer that is it's the way the units designed. I work in the Auto industry and that along with added cost to the vehicle are the only answers the engineer ever supply. I think it has something to do with the angle of the glass on the back window.need diagram for installing alternator belt 94 plymouth grand voyager?
It's at the manufacture's discretion, sometimes as an option but mostly for safety, knowing that over spray will hinder rear visibility. The rear window wiper is an extra option. I tried to buy one from a dealer (for a 1989 Horizon), and was quoted a price of $375 for the motor alone. After doing a little research, I found that this option is not offered on all makes and models, and the models it is offered ranges from $600 to $900 as an extra option (included in premium packages like "sport" or "luxury").
