will that make the car run 4 longer..now the car has no problem's run's great..but i am doing that so it continues 2 stay good? is that good thing to do?....
Answers:
partly. on the process of cleaning your engine you might see some leak of loose connections. this will serve as your preventive maintenance. if price is not a big deal, make it from time to time. Its good practice for your car.
The cleaner that the car is overall, the better the appearance and therefore the more likely you are to be able to sell it as a mint condition vehicle. If you are trading it in to the dealership, they won't consider this any value in any way, and will give you the same money for it regardless.
i own a repair shop, and it wont hurt to have it cleaned up some ,and a cleaner engine will run a little cooler also, but your not going to hurt it any at all,and if you do have to work on it later on,at least it wont be all dirty and greasy to work on,i clean every one that comes to my shop before i work on them, this way it makes it easier for me to work on ,but you can have it done,it cant hurt it,good luck i hope this helps.

Cleaning the engine isn't going to make the car run any better but it can be a good thing to do if there is a lot of road buildup. An engine must be able to cool itself and keeping the radiator hosed off and out can eliminate heating problems that wear interior engine components. If you run cleaning chemicals through the injection system at proper intervals you can help keep a car performing properly and efficiently. With decent looking vehicles it never hurts to be clean. Keep it shiny!97 Chevy door won't stay closed?
Collected dirt and grime on the car collects dust and moisture. Rust can form on spots where water can collect, specially where there is mud and dirt. Collected grease and oil can also be a fire hazard where they may collect and drip on hotspots like the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe. The extra layer of dirt and grime on the engine also acts as a blanket which can make the engine overheat. Dirt on the radiator seriously affects its efficiency and can also lead to overheating. What is proper motor oil weight for my 2007 V6 Ford Fusion?

it's basically for cosmetic reasons they steam engines unless there is an oil leak and the mechanic wants to find it easier, they steam the engines on traded in used vehicles so it's more enticing looking to the new buyer and it also covers up any oil leaks that the car had so you can't see them until you buy the car and drive it for awhile. Steaming the engine won't make an engine last longer, only timely oil changes and maintenance will do that.More Questions & Answers ...
