Yes its! ... the fuel pump. at any moment will burn the fuse located at the top of right front wheel's fender , fuse box ,under the hood.
Is this more than likley the alternater? if so how much do the usually cost?
might have some electrical problem. might have some problem with sensors.have it scanned.I would check to see if your timing is off...
could be as simple as fuel filter clogged, dirty air filter, or bad gas. Tune up with filter replacement is good idea. Free diagnostic after that. You may have to go to dealer if problem continues. Also check fluid levels, radiator and oil especially.
How many miles are on your Explorer?
How long would it take a car thief to get a DISKLOK off my car.?
It could be a number of things--things already mentioned, as well as a possible vac leak or dirty fuel injectors. My old Lumina had a similar condition to your Explorer. It would stall as I stopped at stop signs...so I had my mechanic clean the fuel injectors (not with a $2 bottle of crap, they will know what you are talking about) and that fixed my stalling issues.
The first thing I would check would be the IAC Idle air control valve. Most of the time they just need cleaned out.
Front Hub/Wheel Bearing on 1999 Pontiac Sunfire Question?
i own a repair shop, and this can be caused by a number of things one would be the idle air control valve on it,this wont let it idle right and will make it stall out, also a bad gas filter will cause it,and this is usually whats wrong with the majority of them, what you need to do is take it in and have it checked just to be sure,i wouldn't start buying parts for it until you know for certain what it is,a lot of people are finding out that buying parts and just playing the guessing game can get really expensive on the newer vehicles, after you have it checked you,ll know more about it,and what to buy for it also, good luck i hope this helps.MOST COMMON. IAC (IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE) NOT ALWAYS BUT MOST COMMON. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO KNOW IF IT ACTS SIMILAR ON START UP. TO TEST LOCATE THE IAC ON THE THROTTLE BODY HOUSING AND WHEN IT BEGINS TO HAPPEN GENTLY TAP ON IT AND SEE IF SHE IDLES PROPER. EITHER WAY BEST BET IS TO GET AN ASE REPAIR FACILITY TO INPSECT IT.
