Airbag light stays on in my Dodge intrepid, how can i fix it without going to some rip off shop?
I assume you mean 120,000 miles, the cost of replacing the engine may end up being more than the value of a 20 year old S-10. I've never been a believer that those small quarter ton trucks are worth a sh*t anyway. If you want a truck buy a truck, not a glorified El Camino.if you can afford it...by new truck.
I have a 1980 chevy 1/2 ton. 100,979 miles. Body junk.engine and trans purr like a kitten...wont give up mine because body is rusted...My thoughts...rip the bed off and build a flatbed out of wood. you can customise it with wood stakes on the sides and now you have a fully useable bed again.
What is the regular maintenance for an automatic trans?
u can get a rebuilt engine for EVERY s 10 ever built...but u can get a nice S 10 or ranger for less than 2000 dollars. I have a 10 yr old S10 4x4.140,000 miles..V6 auto...last summer i hauled several loads of gravel 2100, 2300 and 2600 pounds..no problemMy car won't start - what happened?
guessing you have a fuel injected v6 just get a long block from one of the big auto parts stores..if it has a 4 cylinder or carburetter sell it
Will a car pass smog if new transmission is needed?
If the body of the truck is still in good condition then I would just replace the engine.Driving problems on a 1996 escort?
Depends on if you love your truck. if it's been there for you. then you should be there for your truck :DGood/cheap place to get car painted?
it's always nice to keep a good truck going for your kids to use or have down the road :)
no. its not practical to repair you truck. instead buy new. sure you will have difficulty in finding spare parts for 20 years old truck. service wise it is less efficient and prone to breakdowns. my suggestion, buy new truck.

I have a ford ranger that has a 3.0 engine in it would i beable put a 4.0engine in it?
If everything else is in pretty good shape (suspension, wheel bearings, rear end, transmission, etc.) then I would say that a replacement engine would be in order. It would sure beat the heck out of a monthly payment. A lot of this depends on what you want out of the vehicle, but I would generally state that a new engine would extend your useful life of the vehicle.More Questions & Answers ...
