Question:
July 2 years ago at 70,000 this tranny was rebuilt by AAMCO ($2800), a year later, 2006 Memorial Day, at 100,000 it was again rebuilt by Mr. Transmission ($2800), it has been leaking since then and I've been carefully watching/topping off the tranny fluid. I commute 140 miles per day and the car seems to be running fine except for the leak. If I park and cut my wheel all the way, I can see the tranny and the wetness pooled on the frame. What should I do?

Your leak may be just a seal - if so, these can be replaced without a rebuild. Check to see where the leak is coming from. I had a leak one time that was caused by a cracked housing, so the cause has to be found to assess the fix. My guess is a simple solution with a seal replacement. My driver's side window won't roll back up?
this is a problem if your tranny has been open since the total peripheral flatness is gone thus leaks surely will come out. my suggstion - replace the gasket and tight the screw little more than the required. dont forget to add good gasket sealant and spring washer.More Questions & Answers ...
