I would flip the key upside down since it is a 2 sided key, if that don't work try out your spare key. If that don't work go to any Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep dealer along with your registration and a picture ID and have another key cut according to your VIN. Those are the most inexpensive avenues to take. If that don't work you may have a bad ignition cylinder. Hope that this helps. Good luck.I have an engine and the internal parts are covered with sludge from a fire how would you clean it?
First make sure that the transmission is in park. Then while turning the key back to lock try turning the steering wheel until the key turns back to lock. If that won't work then the locking cable on the transmission is broken and will have to be replaced. I have a car with that problem now except I can't get it out of park and cannot remove the key.More Questions & Answers ...
