Air compressor 1995 Oldsmobile LSS?

Question:
After the car has been driven and is shut off, locked up etc, this air compressor underneath the hood on the front driver's side turns on and runs. Does this model have a load-leveling suspension, or what is this compressor used for?

What oil do you put into a diff on a mondao?

Without looking to be sure, yes that noise is probably an air pump used to inflate the rear shocks. And if so,there is probably an air leak.I've seen this happen before on other vehicles and might be worth checking into.It may be a simple fitting repair.Good luck
