Why is my car still vibrating badly at high speeds even though I just replaced two tires?

Question:
My 1994 Honda Accord had been shaking pretty bad when driven on the highway, and I knew the tires were very unevenly worn, so I got the two front tires replaced two days ago. That has helped with city driving, but the shaking/vibration at highway speeds has not changed, in fact, it's gotten a bit worse. Could it just be that the rear tires need to be rotated or replaced too? Or could it be something more serious, like ball joint problems? I'm taking it to be checked out tomorrow, but I wanted some opinions first before I take it in.

There are many things that can cause this problem! It could be warped rotors, worn or loose wheel bearings, bad CV joints or a number of other combinations. A test drive by a good mechanic should find the problem.

What it needs is a tire balance. Even though you replaced the tires, they are unbalanced. Usually and I am 95% sure that a wheel balance is all you need.

Check into a shop and have your tires balanced, although since you mentioned your tires were unevenly worn, sounds like you need to have your front wheel alignment checked too.

How do you demobilise a passenger airbag on a Toyata Yaris - V Reg?

Did you have the tires balanced when you purchased them? Sometimes you will not get something from a repair shop unless you specifically ask for it, even though it is something they probably should have done for free. That is where I would start. It could be other things, but start with the simplest and cheapest. Check the balancing.

I was having the same problems not even a week ago. With me I replaced all my tires and that help alot but i was still vibrating at high speeds. Then I replaced my front tie rods and that helped alot but still vibrating just not as bad. Finally I replaced my ball joints and ive been riding smooth ever since. Just have them check the tie rods and ball joints. Your problem could be one or both of them. Hope I helped.

i would make sure tires were balanced first .2ND check front end for worn parts,3rd have alignment checked note that it usually is visibly out to cause vibration.4Th have the transmission torque converter checked, sometimes that can feel like a tire vibration.Last if it it front wheel drive drive shafts could cause it.

Ford F150 Repair Question. Transmission/Bearings?

IF YOU JUST GOT TWO NEW TIRE THEY SHOULD ALREADY HAVE BEEN BALANCED
OK YOUR OLD TIRES MAY BE WORN TO AND NO ROUND ANY MORE.(YOU CAN CHECK THIS BY RUBBING YOUR HAD ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE TIRE TREAD AND IF YOU FEEL RIPPLES HAVE THEM REPLACED)
IF YOU LIKE TO DRIVE FAST AND THEN SLOW DOWN AT THE LAST MINUTE THE YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR BRAKES CHECK BECAUSE YOU HAVE PROBABLY WARP YOUR FRONT BRAKE ROTORS (THIS MAKES THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATE AT HIGH SPEED)

I would suggest you get an alignment done first. If there is still a problem it could be a bearing. I would bet you a $50 alignment would fix it though
